What is TBW? The Big Weekend is an annual opportunity where we join as one church under God to learn and fellowship together.

This year the topic is Perfection: the goal of God’s plan.

“Be perfect therefore as our Heavenly Father is perfect.” Matthew 5:48

In the well-known Sermon on the Mount, Jesus sets the bar as high as it can go. But is Perfection a realistic expectation for each of us or are we just doomed to failure? Over the big weekend away, Joe Wiltshire will take us through from the basis of God’s Perfect plan (including what it means for prayer, suffering and guidance), how His Son was made Perfect through suffering, how we are to live for Jesus and  what our part is in God’s plan.

Sounds like the foundation for a weekend of Perfection…

Review groups have been scheduled again this year to help us delve further into the Word and to work out how it applies to our lives.

As usual, separate on-site teaching and programs are provided for those up to Year 9 at school while the main sessions have been designed to include teenagers in Years 10 and above. To keep the cost of our weekend away to a minimum we are moving to the Merroo Conference Centre, Kurrajong. Merroo offers both non en-suited (6-8 beds) and en-suited (2-3 bed) accommodation. However, given the limited number of en-suited rooms these will be allocated on a first registered, first preference basis. So get registered quick!

There will be plenty of time to pray, enjoy the great surroundings, meet new people from across our parish, engage in awesome activities, sing great songs, hang out, chat and chillax!
